Dairy cows actually play an important role in a sustainable food system as up cyclers. After looking into those common ingredients, researchers learned that 80 PERCENT of what cows eat cannot be eaten by people. Dairy cows are natural recyclers! They can eat the things humans can’t, like cottonseed, corn distillers grain, and canola meal to produce milk and divert waste from landfills every day.
