Technology is part of Nebraska dairy farms!

Dairy farmers use new technologies in their day-to-day chores like robotic feed pushers, automatic calf feeders, and robotic milkers. Cow collars, ankle bands or special ear tags are used to watch over each cow in the herd. Using this technology dairy farmers can check their computer or cell phone to see if a cow is healthy or needs special care.

Larson Farms Inc. uses robotic milkers on their dairy farm. The robotic milkers not only milk the cows, but they can also collect valuable data and information from each cow. This technology requires less farm workers than a regular milking parlor and can give dairy farmers more time to take care of their cows.
